Thursday was very wet!

We had a full day of rain, but that did not stop us from having fun and choosing adventure!

After the excitement of last night's disco, we had a very well-deserved sleep. Our teachers had to wake us up at 7 am to get ready for a lovely breakfast of eggs and hash browns.

We split into our groups and battled against the rain to trek through the mud to the Challenge Course first. We had to work as a team to complete a tricky set of tasks without touching the ground. It was especially hard in the rain, but we managed to work together to move large planks across mud to find our way through the obstacle course. We loved pushing ourselves to think creatively to find solutions to new problems.

Then on to the most heart-racing event we've had so far- THE HIGH ROPES! We put on harnesses and helmets and settled in for the safety talk before we tackled the complex course. We had to push past our fears to complete the course in very tricky rainy conditions. The final step was a zip wire through the air into the end zone- we were like superheroes on the final run!

We had so much fun and felt so proud of our achievements , but by this point we needed a warm lunch and some time to dry out. Lunch was a very pleasing bowl of tomato soups with a bread roll or a quiche- both were excellent.

In the afternoon, we opted for an indoor challenge in the form of a catapult challenge. We worked in teams of 8 to build a catapult from wooden poles. We then had to aim bean bags at foam towers to knock them down. We were pretty handy with a catapult! It was great fun.

Dinner tonight was a very yummy Roast Chicken dinner followed by a tasty banana cake with toffee sauce. We then decided to end the rainy day with a movie and hot chocolate with marshamallows.

We have had such a good time this week, but we are really excited to re-uniting with our families tomorrow. One more sleep at Sayers Croft to go!
